Gameplay
As with all versions of Monopoly, gameplay in Here & Now: the World Edition is driven by turn-based rolling of the dice and the player's ability to secure and maintain control of real estate investments.

In the Wii version players use the remote to roll the dice, with their piece moved around the board and rents deducted from their account automatically. Once this is done they have the choice to either visit the accounts screen, where all player owned properties and available cash are listed, or to allow the next player to roll.

A new twist in gameplay involves the mini-games scattered throughout the board. These occur at different points in the game--for example, at the beginning of the game to determine who will roll first.

They are quick detours from the main action and are generally designed to challenge players according to their standing in the game, thus making it tougher for first place players to pull away from their competition.

Although the game environment of Monopoly Here and Now: The World Edition is firmly rooted in the original game through its inclusion of a classically laid out board, with all the properties and playing pieces you remember, it also offers up new directions of play through its wealth of new board options.

A big part of the fun of the original Monopoly board game was the experience of going head-to-head against fellow players in games that could last for hours, depending on the roll of the dice and how much money and real estate assets were available.

But not everyone wants to, or has the time to play a drawn out game like this. This is where Monopoly Here and Now: the World Edition's 'Get Rich Quick' game mode comes in.

A Good Family Game
The game is a whole lot of fun. I got it a few weeks ago to play with my fiance, and she and I love it. We even got her mother playing it with us. There are quite a few different and unique looking boards that make it a lot more interesting, and you actually have to play the game to unlock more boards.

The best part is, since it takes care of certain things for you, like the handling of money and moving the pieces, it goes by a lot faster than the actual board game, and it auto-saves, so you can exit the game, turn it off, and continue again later when you have more time.

My only problems with this game are the fact that the guy never shuts up, and you can't turn his voice off, and the fact that you can only have up to four players, instead of the traditional eight.

The disc arrived in excellent condition (new and never opened), and the box itself didn't have a scratch on it. I would definitely recommend this game to those who love Monopoly and either don't have storage space for the board game or don't have the time it takes to get through a game all at once (or have pets that enjoy sleeping on game boards while you're playing).

This is an easy game to learn. There are new ways to play it and fun for everyone.

Great Family / Dorm Game
I was given this game as a Christmas gift from my kid sister and I definitely love it! The game is very basic, yet it remains entertaining and full of fun for the family and for the mates in my university dorm.

The game features the classic Monopoly board and tokens as well as several other unlockable boards. Up to four players can play, with computer players available with different difficulties if wanted. Game play is captivating and includes a pause menu and save option. Game play can also be changed according to preference to change tax charges or free parking amounts.

There is also another edition included, "Richest Edition" which is a faster, interesting spin on the classic game. In Richest Edition, up to four players roll die and play different Monopoly-themed mini-games. They then pick their choice of die based on game outcome. Rent is paid in properties and if no properties are owned, bankruptcy is not an option. Games can last from as little as twenty minutes to as much as an hour and provide hours of fun!

Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys party games or board games! Thanks, Hasbro!

Varied Gameplay
Gameplay within All Star Cheer Squad consists of players mimicking the stream of on-screen prompts, representing individual moves within a cheer routine, and accumulating points according to their accuracy. Action is registered through the use of various controllers. Ideally the game simulates a the range of body motion--both upper and lower--that a cheerleader utilizes.

With this in mind, to take advantage of the game's full potential players should use both the combination of a Wii Remote with attached Nunchuck controller for upper body movement, and a Wii Balance Board for lower body movement. But this configuration is not mandatory for play. A Wii Remote with Nunchuck will suffice. Play options consist of:

Singleplayer - Singleplayer action in All Star Cheer Squad comes in two varieties: Quick play and Career Mode. Career Mode on the other hand contains the lion's share of the singleplayer experience as well as the storyline of the game.

As players begin this mode they choose the gender and basic customization options of their character like initial attire, facial features, etc. From there they are introduced to the current members of Fox Squad. Considered as an unproven rookie the players must try out and make the squad to gain respect and a spot on the team.

If successful more advanced routines and moves as well as unique custom items will be unlocked, which will earn you credibility and provide the opportunity to move up in the hierarchy of the squad, eventually all the way to captain.

Quickplay is a standard tutorial mode where players can practice basic and not so basic moves that will come in handy regardless of the player's experience and comfort level with the Wii Remote, Nunchuck and the Wii Balance Board.

Multiplayer - All Star Cheer Squad supports 2-4 players either cooperative or competitive multiplayer. Team up and work together as a unit and the goal is to get the highest overall routine score as a squad by following the on-screen prompts as you face down a bevy of AI supplied competition.

As squads progress through the mode, moves routines and their synchronization with music become more and more difficult, complex and frantic. Players who instead choose to go the route of competitive multiplayer face off against friends in a versus mode where not only do they need to follow the in-game prompts, to hope to win in a tight battle they must shoot for perfect execution of moves.

String together three perfect moves and your team receives a 'call out." These can be used to add points to your score, trip up the opposing cheer line when their turn comes, protect your own line in this case. Whichever team has the highest score at the end of the game wins.

Wii Cheer Rocks
My daughter LOVES to cheer with this Wii game. She says that it is challenging and fun!

Not worth the money!
I bought this game with such high hopes...and have had them crushed. The game itself is pretty fun, but the loading times and short duration of play between the loading times just kills it! Seriously when I play this game I stand in the middle of my living room watching the load screen for so long that I just end up sitting down from boredom.

Then when the balance board is plugged in there are addition wait times while there are repeated warnings not to jump on the board, not to fall off the board, calibrating the board, now stand on the board....Finally you get about 45 seconds of doing a routine before it ends,

then you go through a 45-60 second load time before you get back to the main menu. The game has potential, but is killed by the lack of flow between sequences, long load times, and unnecessary repeated reminders. I hardly play this game b/c it is so frustrating!

Needs a bit of perfecting...
I bought this game for my 11 yr. old all-star cheerleader daughter. The game is fun but certainly not perfectly engineered. She becomes frustrated because the wire between the controllers is too short to actually do the moves exactly as shown.

We thought is was going to be more like her cheer practices however it is important to remember that this is just a video game and really no way comparable to actual cheer. She has enjoyed playing with it though I don't believe I will get my money's worth out of it. She actually gets much more of a work-out with the wii-fit game.

Good for Hannah Montana lovers
This was bought for my 8 year old daughter, the first game to go with the new Wii. She loved it for several days, then only played it when friends came over. I like the music and she loves the "dancing".

My family really enjoys this wii game. We get a lot of exercise when we play it.

Fun for younger girls... older children will likely be bored.
We purchased this game for both our daughter [age 8] & our niece [age 12]. Both girls are huge Hannah Montana fans! The game uses both the WII control and the nun-chuck - the player dances along with Hannah as she tours the world performing for fans. After each performance, Hannah can use the "fan money" she has earned to go shopping in the various cities she tours.

The girls enjoy playing the game. There isn't much thought that must go into playing... it's not what you would call an educational or challenging game... but both girls seem to have fun posing as Hannah Montana. They did complete the entire game within a couple of hours, once they got the hang of it. (I found that a little disappointing... but they just started over, again, the next time they played. And they didn't seem to be disappointed in conquering the game, so quickly.)

All, in all... if you have a young Hannah fan at your house, they will probably really enjoy this game. However, teenage children will likely be bored with it.

I purchased this game in January & it really is a lot of fun. If you grew up watching this show you really can get into it & feel like you're really playing.

FUN FOR EVERYONE!
I am so glad that I bought this game! It is a great game for a group to play, and anyone can play. It really is like being on Price is Right - from the showcases, the games of chance, to spinning the wheel to be in the final showcase. Even if you are not a winner in the beginning, everyone gets a chance to spin the wheel and be in the final showcase.

It keeps everyone involved right to the end. My teenage son and his friends even played a game with us last night - and they were laughing and having fun. Sometimes, I don't think the value on some of the items are quite right - but who cares - it is still fun!!!!

Very Good
This a very good job in games, all the enviroment and the characters are very worked, to create a great history where you are a fundamental piece. Some users can not appreciate this and think this game is no good or can say that it have a slow history development.

Game of the Year? Yeah I'll buy that.

Gameplay: 9/10 Took a shooter and put some great, original twists into it
Storyline: 11/10 One of the best stories in a video game I've seen
Graphics: 10/10 \
Sound: 9/10 ----Both made it pretty suspenseful
Replayability: 4/10 Not much to change in replaying other than difficulty and a couple choices

Overall, a very good game. It's original and a bit creepy and you just won't want to put it down.

Speechless...
I finished this game a while back, but i only recently decided to share what an amazing game this game is. Graphics, gameplay, originality, story line, all impecable. This game is the most satisfying FPS i have evr played. When you complete this game, you seriously feel like you've acomplished something.

Like a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders. You relly feel like you've solved the mystery that is Rapture (setting). im not getting into any detail, because i dont want to spoil anything for you. BUY THIS GAME! for $25, it is well worth the price.

Oh, but dont buy this game if your are a mindless frat boy looking to shoot stuff, (yes im talking to you Halo 3 and Call of Duty Jocks)if youre looking for deep, well rooted storylines, intense, immersive, environments, and a somewhat intellectual (as intellecual as video games can be) experience. One of my all time favorites, Cant wait for Bioshock 2!!! 3rd quarter 2009! (hopefully)

DO NOT BUY (Impossible to defend against CPU, weird AI)
I am far from a 2k vet, but from what I have read on the web, most 2k vets seem to be having the same experience as me with the CPU, namely, that it is simply impossible to play consistent defense against the CPU, or to develop a winning strategy that works consistently against the CPU. The inconsistency is mind-boggling. Playing as the Celtics I'll beat the Lakers by 6 in L.A., then lose to Miami by 20 in Miami, with Udonis Haslem and Shawn Marion lighting up my defense.....????

The CPU rarely, if ever, misses a shot, even a well-defended one, though it does go through "dry spells", which seem designed to "get you back in the game". But then, the same defense which produced that "dry spell" stops working, and the CPU splits every double team and manages to produce layup after layup while KG's dunks get rejected by players half a foot shorter than him.

Prior to patching the game with Xbox live, it seemed to play a lot more realistically, but once I got the patch online, the CPU became strange and unpredictable. Sometimes unbeatable, and sometimes horrible. This game sucks. I don't mind losing, but not for no reason. Unless you're HIGHLY skilled, or love to suffer, go elsewhere.

Fun game, sometimes frustrating
NBA 2K9 is a fun game for basketball fans. First of all, I definitely DO NOT recommend that someone pays full retail price ($59.99) for this game if either A) you own another game in the series or B) it is more than 1/2 of the way into the season. That's just the fallacy of sports video games. There will be another coming along very shortly, which puts a shelf-life on the replay value.

As far as the game goes, AI for your teammate drones is terrible in relation to loose balls. Your teammates will just stand aimlessly when rebounds are floating above their heads or batted balls are rolling by their feet. I also believe that WAY too many missed 3-pointers bounce behind the backboard and out of bounds.

There's also these weird positions in the low post where your player will mindlessly shoot the ball and hit the back side of the bacboard. I guess if you can find ways to set up these shots effectively and master the art of directly switching players using the Right Bumper, these problems may be alleviated.

The "Living Roster" feature is great for adjusting rosters when people are traded and adjusting skill levels for developing players. However, I still wish there was a way to use players who are injured in real life. Gameplay is great, with a variety of playcalling, shot selections, etc. It's definitely difficult to turn something so unpredictable as sport into something so mechanic, and this game does an amazing job.

Great game, no more EA sports, its all about the 2K series...
This is going to be sound like a lot of reviews, but here we go; I use to be an dedicated EA sports fan until last year i had some extra cash in the summer, after the basketball season was finish and i bought 2K8 for 20 bucks!! That changed my life with regards to my royalty immediately. Wow ! What have i been missing all these years i asked myself puzzled beyond belief...

So ofcourse i was desperately waiting the release fo the NBA 2K9 to hit the shelves this year. This game is awesome, probably the most realistic game you can own!! It looks like a real basketball game, and i am in total control, its amazing!! Players look and move like there real life counterparts which is what every fans craves... to be his/her favorite player. The controls are numerious but does take some getting used to. You can control every aspect of your offense and defense with out calling a timeout.

I personally had to take time to get used to the dribbling area of this game. It is so life like it's scary. No more EA sports day where you can continue to run around the court until you break into the hole and throw down and unstoppable dunk/layup. One feature i do not like is that the defense is a bit tricky, i am still getting used to it. But all and all this game is hands down the best in the business! I cant imagine how they are going to top this years performence, but be sure i will be at the stores waiting!!!

Great Game, Too hard thou
Easy to learn, great graphics, almost imposible in hard (I havent even try it on Expert yet). Great songs in carrear mode but not many good songs for bonus tracks. Love the wireless game play.

Guitar Hero 3
I bought this game for the family for christmas and everyone loves it! If your into rock and roll like me and my family I highly recommend this game! Also it helps you to have family time together and what could be better than that!!!

I bought this game for my brother-in-law..who is 18. HE loves it...Anyone who likes music at all will love this game.
