Better than Wii Fit!
I own both the Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach(Wii). Without a doubt, My Fitness Coach beats Wii Fit as a workout tool. Wii Fit is OK, but let's be honest, you can't get a real workout with it.

Even with the advanced aerobic games, they only last a few minutes which isn't long enough to maintain your target heart rate. You are also constantly pushing buttons to restart segments or go on to a new exercise. You can't program Wii Fit to do more than one set- you have to select each exercise one after another.

With My fitness Coach, you get a complete workout without having to stop and restart the segments. You can even choose "Group Workout" and workout with someone else who also has a profile set up. You both get credit for working out at the same time. Wii Fit does not offer this option- it is single player only.

Maya, your virtual trainer in My Fitness Coach, works you out and asks how you're doing. Your answer will determine the intensity of future work outs. You can also opt to include exercise equipment you own, such as a step board, fitness ball, or hand weights.

Now, if you like games with points and high scores, you might not like this. My Fitness Coach is more of an interactive work out DVD... but it's a GOOD interactive workout DVD and if you are looking to really workout- you'll love it! I am really happy with it.

pretty cool!
With out a doubt, better than I thought it would be. It is different every workout and asks you every segment if it was too easy or too difficult and adjusts accordingly. I have a heart rate monitor watch, witch I think you benefit from if you own one (they ask you about your heart rate during your physical evaluations).

But I like the fact she (the personal trainer) asks you what type of equipment you own and includes them in the work outs also. Finally! I put some use to my dusty weights in my closet.

Some other reviews have commented that it doesn't use the Wii board but personally I think it would have hindered some of the movments and make the game not as effective. This game is pretty cool, there are some things it can improve on which I would expect in future versions of the game but as of now I am still doing the work outs and am not bored.

Good workout compilations!
I bought this game under the assumption that it utilized the balance board. I probably should have read the description better. BUT, I am pleased nonetheless with my purchase. The difference between Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach is that the Wii Fit lets you choose what excercises to do and it is kind of difficult to get a really good workout in.

My Fitness Coach has you do a body test to see where your weaknesses are and then gives you a recommendation based on that as to the area(s) you need the most work on. It lets you set up a long term goal. When you are ready to work out you simply choose what area you would like to work on and how long you want the workout to be.

This includes yoga, cardio, upper body, lower body, and core body. You can choose your style of music and they put together a whole workout for you! You don't have to choose your exercises and there is no wait time in between moves. At the end of certain sections of your workout they ask you to rate how easy/hard it was for you and then it adjusts to what you tell it.

For example, if you just completed the first 10 minutes of your cardio workout they will ask about the level... say it was easy for you - they let you know that next time they will adjust the workout to make it more challenging. It is interactive but doesn't really utilize the Wii motion sensor stuff and is more like a workout video. I like it and always feel a burn when I am done completing my workouts!
